The great continent of Varalos is corrupted by the domain of demons. Many know it as the dark continent or the infernal continent. Thousands of years ago demons appeared to devour and exterminate the whole life of Varalos. Thousands of years of resistance against the demons led to extinction of a great part of species in the continent, almost extinguishing humans. Now the last remaining species, humans, elves and goblins live in small villages and withered cities where life is austere, poor and where death lurks at home. These peoples live segregated from each other, with almost no interaction between them, governed by the taboo of never leaving their home, for fear of falling into the jaws of demons. A life of slow suffering and quick death, none presents a shred of hope, while all accept their destiny, since it is impossible to fight the war against demons. But, a young human, despite fear and taboos, leaves his home, and decides to explore the world with only one objective, his personal mission is to kill as many demons as he can, even if this means to lose his life and be forgotten, and perhaps some day to live in a world without demons.
