A pack of wolves with human intelligence have divided themselves into three sectors: The Workers, The Protectors, and The Leaders. The three sectors make up what's called The Trilogy.

In a subsector called The Fighters, a young wolf is to his dismay getting an apprentice. He soon gets a soft spot for him when the apprentice reveals more about himself. All the while he starts to reflect on his life and finds out how and why he ended up where he is.
