Valkom's never had love, and his greatest fear is living an entire lifetime without knowing what real passion is. Not necessarily for a person even. His best friend loves language, learning them, speaking them. He wants that.
Nikase has had two loves. The harp, and her late husband. Only she never thought she would've had to pick between the two. And now she feels nothing for either.
An indirect sequel to Lior, but you DON'T have to read Lior to follow this story or understand the B plot. The B plot is a continuation of Lior.
