The sky is pitch black, making it hard for Nora to see where she is going. Her and Zac are playing hide and seak inside the forest. "I'll find you!" she says all playful. "There you are!" she comments seeing his hand behind a tree.
She is trembling on the sight of what she just discovered. Zac is no more. What's the only thing that was left is his hand.
Water is falling on her face and she wipes it. Another drop falls on her cheek, making her look up.
There it is, a monster looking at her as she is his next meal. His eyes are filled with hunger, and his tongue is about to lick her face.
She starts running like crazy, trying to escape as the animal howls. She winces as she hits her leg on a branch and falls. The laughs of the Hindra are becoming loud and disturbing. It would be described better if you were to compare it with hyena’s scream. She is hyperventilating as she is afraid and can’t seem to be able to stand up again. 'Did my feet give up on me?' she thinks while panicking.
She grinds her teeth and pushes hard the ground, finding the last inch of strength inside her. A spear flies and lands next to her, cutting a piece of her ear. Her eyes are dilated as she runs fast out of this forest. Her eyesight has now adjusted to the environment and she can see the branches.
The Hindra are running like maniacs, firing their guns. They have cold blood, skin hard and rough. One of them has a clear shot but is stopped by his comrade saying, “We need to play”. Nora uses her tail to run faster and jump higher. She can see the end of this path. As she reaches it, the view is clear. There’s nowhere to hide, as this whole land is covered in mud and water that can be walked on.
Nora is being surrounded. They laugh and joke around on what they are gonna do to her. “Are we gonna skin her alive?” then another says, “Or pull her eyes out? They sell good!”. Tears are flowing down her cheeks. She doesn’t wanna die, she is just a child. She looks at her right, only to see that her parents and clan have been captured by the rest of the enemy squad. 'Is it all over?' is the only thought in her mind.
Their laugh is being cut short as the clouds roar and a red lighting strikes to the ground. The earth is shaken and everyone loses their balance. The Hindra point their weapons to the thing that landed. There’s a mist and they cautionaly wait for it to calm down.
Inside of the smoke, it appears to be a girl wearing a silver-black battle uniform. There’s one piece that covers her upper body, and upon that, there’s another made of silver that covers her neck and hands. The black pants cover her long legs and she wears metal boots up to her knees. Her hair are floating around, long in the color of the moon, silver. What caught Nora’s eye was the diamond blue brooch, that is located in the bottom part of her neck.
Her eyes are still closed, and some electricity is flowing around her as a shield.
On her back, there’s a dark cape up to her knees and some inches away, a black Item is floating. It is a circle with thorns around it, looking like a black sun.
(Item=this word is used referring to the weapon of someone’s preference. It’s usually used on magical weapons and staff. They say that the Item chooses its master and they can be found on desolate places, charged with energy. Many people die to obtain them).
The Hindra are nervous as they didn’t expect company. She slowly opens her eyes and her warm gaze finds Nora. She is left in awe noticing the bright amber color they have. “It look like a sun”, she comments.
The shield disappears and the girl is now looking at the people around her. Her eyes are now sharp and cold. Her hair settle on her waist and nothing seems to be protecting her anymore. Nora notices an insignia on the left top side on her uniform. It’s a gold lotus flower. She gasps as she realise who this person is, or actually, who she represents.
The leader of Hindra, a tall strong creature named Hon Len, comes forth to talk with her. “Who are you?” he asks and his voice is filled with irony. The rest of the squad start laughing, as if he said something funny. The girl touches her insignia and with a smile answers. “My name is Valerie, and I’m sent here by the Guardian Legion to protect the Noa people. Please, don’t make this harder for yourselfs”. They grind their teeth, as they are being disrespected. Some of them are whispering, because they heard of the Guardians and their magnificent powers.
Hon Len starts laughing and the rest follow him on the same pattern. Nora looks around confused and afraid for Valerie. “Oh my, you have such a mouth, you ‘smide’”.
(Smide=it’s a word used in the Tirrenia Galaxy and means the obedient one. It’s used for soldiers and mercenaries, that are being used and controlled by lords to do their bidding. It’s a humiliating word made from an animal dog breed that obeys only his master).
All Men start ‘laughing their eyes out’. Hon Len steps closer to Valerie. “Mina, you don’t even change your face, not angry, nothing. Too pretty to be wasted on obeying the Guardian Legion. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure I won’t scratch that little face of yours, so I can have you for me, to see if you can actually change expression. You smide are my trophy”. Valerie doesn’t even flinch. “So be it. After all, we Guardians never stop, even if someone surrenders”.
(Mina=it’s one of the Gods of Tirrenia Galaxy that symbolizes prosperity. It’s used here to make his statement more than it is).
She raises her hand up in the sky, and 6 floating swords appear from her Item. They stay three and three behind her back like wings. Everyone has taken their position and are ready to fight; one versus 50. Hon Len raises his hand. He puts it down and screams, “CHARGE!”.
Valerie charges two of her swords. She doesn’t have to touch them for them to move, just by moving her hand, they follow her lead. They cross in front of her, creating a shield that blocks the incoming attack of their weapons. She then runs on the water and slides down. She uses her swords that listen to her thought and cut them down with two slices.
She leaves two swords on the back to protect her and the other four are to create damage. She swings her hands and the sharp blades follow her movement, cutting down 20 people by now. She steps on her one toe to swirl around and the swords dance around her body. When she stops they are now charged with energy, and a bright red light illuminates. She uses two of the blades that float around as a stepping point to go higher. A squad moves her way and she throws two blades down the ground, while blocking their incoming fire.
The moment they touch the ground they explode and kill whatever was standing there. Hon Len being scared, retreats back, having the others fight for him. Valerie knows that she has to cut the head of the snake for this to be over. She changes course and runs after him. He is on a vehicle that doesn’t need to touch the ground to operate, but can’t go high up to the sky either.
Valerie’s pace becomes stronger and faster, catching up to them. “Faster, go faster your fools!” Hon Len screams to the rest of the Hindra. Valerie aims her hand on one of the engines and a blade flies towards it, bursting it. The vehicle crashes in the water and Hon Len lands a few meters away from her.
She only has two swords now, as the other are being left far away. “You smide, you aren’t the only one that has an Item”. Hon Len pulls out of the inside of his chest a big sword, twice her size. Both parties charge in and with a swing of his sword, knocks her out of the way.
Valerie slams to the ground. Hon Len comes closer to her laughing. “What’s with you people and laughing” she growls. She stands up, but both of her swords have been knocked really far away. He puts his sword on the ground and says, “I really didn’t want to hurt that pretty face of yours, but you destroyed a ¾ of my legion, I won’t forgive you for that”.
Valerie smiles and opens her hands like wings. “Only a third? I thought it was all”. Hon Len looks around and notices a blue string that spreads from her Item to the blades that have been placed away. “Oh, no” he whispers. Valerie takes some steps back and lets out an energy wave that follows down the string to the swords.
The swords rotate as a charging time bomb. They are placed exactly where they needed; 2 on Hon’s Len spaceship, that has 100 people inside waiting for orders, one on the forest, and one on the last wave of Hindra that was coming. Her body levitates from the ground as the wave reaches the blades and a blue combustion takes place, lighting the sky, making the night day.
Hon Len is cursing every God is known in this universe and picks up his weapon. He rotates it and a green light emanates from it. He attacks Valerie with all his might, crushing the ground, shaking. Valerie is dodging every attack, moving left, right, almost floating, not walking.
He runs like hell and jumps into the air. He is about to land on Valerie, and she doesn’t have the time to avoid this one. “I guess it can’t be helped”. Her two swords return back to her and with an X in front of her, block his attack that creates an explosion.
She calls back all of her blades and the blue string attaching them becomes less and less, till it disappears. She moves her hands, creating smooth movements and swirling them around. The swords start moving around, as if there was a center point. She jumps up high, opens her torso wide open and while still on the air, she lets out a scream and a yellow lazer light is beamed out and hits Hon Len, almost killing everything that was alive on the near distant. The light was so bright that Nora had to close her eyes from hurting.
Hon Len drops his weapon. Smoke comes out of his chest and he hits the ground, growling. “So… that’s how a Guardian is. Cold blooded mercenaries”. Valerie is standing upon his body as he continues mumbling, “Your Legion claims to be helping, bringing peace to the people, but tell me smide, do you really believe this? Let me tell you a secret, you and I, are not so different. The only difference is that I’m not claiming to be nice, I know who I am. You Valerie, are just an empty cell, an angel of death. Do you even know who you really are?”. And with these last words, life leaves his body.
