Orion Voltolini is considered a loner to most. At the age of 23, he still hasn't kissed or dated anyone he was even slightly interested in. He was the kind of guy that kept his crushes to himself and avoided the person he harbored feelings in order to prevent him embarrassment. His friends from high school ventured off, went to college, got married, and had their dream jobs while Orion remained in Oneonta, New York, where his family lived ever since moving from Italy. 

Orion is in a slump. He is happy with his job in the Oneonta's old book shop where he can escape the busy and challenging world. To him, a book was all he ever needed to be happy. With each book he read, he longed to be like one of the characters he read about; destined to do something great and make an impact on the world in some way. 

One day, a young man with curly chestnut brown hair and bright blue eyes walks into the bookstore. Orion is taken aback by the man and something begins to bubble up in his chest. Aries Silva is the young man and he is the most beautiful man Orion has ever seen.
