Our story takes influence from the social issue of bullying. This is a lighthearted story of a boy who was tormented by his bully, who then came to understand his bully and then befriend him. A bullying victim who was able to write his own story and not have it set by others.
The Adventure of Dude Hiro & The Bully of St. Pilgrim
It was a another normal day at the boarding school St. Pilgrim Academy, the birds were chirping, the school flag was flapping in the wind, and our lovable dorky student Dude Hiro was being chased down the halls by the big, bad bully Dave Diablo. Dude manages to go into hiding in an old janitor’s closet. While hiding, he knocks over an old metal lock box and discovers a mysterious glowing comic with his name on it.
When he opens the comic it turns out to be a portal that transports him to a comic book realm.He runs into Newt, a forest critter that is on the run from the Big Bad Bull-y of the Comic Book Realm.
Dude Hiro embarks on a journey that parallels his own reality, encountering another bully in the comic world resembling his own bully Dave Diablo. Dude Hiro is now once again on the run from the Big, Bad Bull-y of this world. Will Dude Hiro be able to escape the bully’s tyranny? Will he return back to his own world? What is to become of the Dude Hiro and his bullies?
