It's official. Tapas is shutting down March of 2027. Tapas has stopped giving ink to people.
I've had some lovely people donate their remaining ink to me, BUT PLEASE READ: I am not at the minimum threshold to pay-out that money.
I need $3 more to be able to actually receive ANY money from ink. Unless you are donating a large amount, donate your remaining ink to artists who will actually receive the money!!! From the looks of things I will not be getting A SINGLE CENT from Tapas from the 5 years I've been posting. Not from ad rev, not from the lovely people generously giving me their ink.
This whole situation has been disrespectful to creators and readers alike, the way they blind sighted everyone with no warning was horrible.
If you want me to actually receive your money: You can get early access to the comic for as little as $2.50 on my Patreon, and I get to keep everything you give me while giving you extra content and behind the scenes every week <3
Find me: patreon.com/thecommunecomic
Luckily I'm not loyal to one hosting platform, so you can keep up with The Commune on Comic Fury, Webtoon, Instagram (@thecommunecomic) and I have a website: thecommunecomic.com
I will not be updating the comic on Tapas anymore, this whole ordeal has left a bad taste in my mouth, plus everything will be taken down anyways. You guys have been wonderful readers, thank you for supporting me. I'll see you guys on my other platforms!

Will see you soon! On one of those webpages! (I am still deciding which I will migrate, but I will xd)
Hey guys,
It’s recently been announced that Tapas is shutting down. I want to give alternative places to read The Commune so that you can transfer before everything gets removed.
I really recommend subscribing to The Commune on Comic Fury, it’s a fantastic comic site for indie creators, and I can post my work uncensored.
I also post The Commune on Webtoon (reformatted for phone scroll) and also on Instagram @thecommunecomic - the algorithm can be annoying but if you turn on post notifications you’ll see every new update.
I’ve been considering moving to NamiComi or Tumblr, I’ll figure this out later.
I plan to finish posting CH8 here on Tapas, but please subscribe on another platform as soon as you can so you can find my work once the site gets removed!

Want early access to The Commune pages? All of my work in progresses and final pages are posted early to Patreon! Over a month ahead with updates over there B)

A cool comic-panel style design is also available on the merch shop.
Thanks for supporting the comic either way!

The Commune returns this week! Very excited to be back.
I'm also here to announce that I now have early access to the comic available on my Patreon! I have 40+ completely new pages on there to be read.

I've updated a page in episode 9! I feel very happy with the result, it conveys the moment much better. See it in the update: https://tapas.io/episode/2474908

AHH HE LOOKS AMAZING!! (and kinda cute too for a mozzie🥰) Thank you so much for the fanart!
No prob XD
The Commune will return next week! Thank you all so much for your patience. This hiatus ended up being longer than expected, but I'm happy to be back soon to share more of the story with you guys! Stay tuned :)
Enjoy your break!
Hey everyone, I realised I should probably put a more explicit content warning for the overall story of 'The Commune' as most people won't see it in the description.
I will not take offence to anyone that unsubs, I just don't want anyone to go into the story without at least knowing what they're getting into.
If anyone has any concerns/ questions as to some of the content in the comic, feel free to ask and I'll let you know :)

Anopheles Diary Entry #1
The content of this entry was already implied in the comic itself so I thought I'd share it here instead >:)
Edit: If I do decide to post any other entries here, I will do them without notifications, so you don't have to worry about me spamming you.
