TOM CARTER - Creator & Writer "Guardian"

I have a background in filmmaking, I studied Film and Television Production at Nescot College and later gained a degree in Media Arts at St Mary's University, I've also worked freelance in media over the years as well as various other professions outside of the media. I’m an Aspiring writer and a comic book fan. I have worked on many media based projects.

I had the idea for Guardian many years ago when I was in college and wanted to get it made back then. There were multiple reasons why it didn't have, not least because I had my mind-set on other Goals at the time e.g. University, work and events in life. But over the years, in many ways, I am glad I waited. The extra time has really allowed me to further develop my ideas into something special.

Guardian will be my first comic book series ever. I've written many screenplays for many projects over the years and worked on webseries "Dynamic" on The Comic Book Cast website and YouTube page along side with Tom Gallagher my role for the webseries was writer, character development and actor on the show which lasted for three episodes and spin-off into a short-live Machinima series.

I have a huge passion for film from a young age and was making films of all types from short films, experimental films, music videos, showreels and many more, doing various jobs for each project I worked on from camera, sound, editor, designer, writer. Some of my favourite films being “Blade Runner”, “The Big Lebowski”, "The Dark Knight" and “The Blue Brothers”.

I am the creator of the Guardian comic, my roles the writer/creator, plus main character development, storyline development and Character design.
