Thanks for making it. I'm impressed at how well you've gotten classic movie monsters to co-exist in a setting and make it feel as natural as "standard fantasy" worlds do. The main characters are great and I'm really looking forward to learning more about your characters.
It's always great to get meaningful feedback like this from someone who really seems to understand the meaning of the story! It really means a lot to me.
Unfortunately, the comic is on hiatus for the time being. I'm going through some real-life stuff right now, and it's hard to put so much time and investment into something that provides very little emotional return, despite how much I love the thing itself. (I am not a very 'efficient' artist, and each page takes a huge amount of effort on my part, despite my very average drawing ability)
I want to continue the story (I have big plans for the next chapters), but right now, I cannot. I hope to change that, eventually.
Thanks again for appreciation! I will continue this story as soon as I am able
Been wanting to formally thank you for a while with all the likes and support you gave to Cosmic Fish! I'm glad you're enjoying it and I hope you have an awesome weekend!
Thanks for making such a cool story. All of your characters are fascinating, and I'm really looking forward to finding out more about them and their world/s.
Hey, thanks for subscribing to Hunter Black! We appreciate you loaning us your eyeballs...we promise to be really good to them! (Also, you can't avoid the letter "E" forever. It will force its way into your life...count on it.)
Thanks for making Hunter Black. The art style has a "Samurai Jack" vibe going on and the story and world building are great, particularly your comments under each page explaining part of your world. (I'm not trying to avoid the letter "E", I just wanted a username I would remember and this one works on most occasions.)
Yeah, I was just being weird about the "E" thing. My sense of humor has its good moments and its weird ones.
But thank you so much for the kind words! Samurai Jack is definitely a huge influence on the look of the comic, and the Known World is a real labor of love for Will and me both.
No harm done, I knew it was a joke. You're actually the second person to point that out on here so I felt an explanation was in order. I'm still making my way through Hunter Black and it really shows the effort and level of detail the two of you have put into the comic. Keep up the good work.
It's embarrassing to admit but I forgot the title as well. I only remembered that the story was about a gruff samurai who adopts an elective-mute girl. I found it here by searching for samurai comics. This story is fantastic, by the way.
