SupportThe name's Kenny (You can call me Nugget), and I'm a 23 year old college student from Long Island. I'm mostly self taught, although I am attending SVA to gain a degree in 2d animation. I'm currently hard at work on drawing a comic series called Crescent Blue; a passion project of mine that I've been working on since I was only 13. It's a series that's sentimental to me, and something I've worked very hard on. I've had a lot of fun working on this series and I hope some you guys do too! I'll be uploading the pages I have completed for chapter 1 pretty soon with more to come in the future.

-My Tik Tok Account. This is my most recent account and I've only had it for a few months now. I plan on posting more here in the future
-My Artfol which I made in April of this year. I dont really use it as often anymore but I'll occasionally post there
I should note that my Instagram account and my artfol account both contain pages of CB Chapter 1. The reason is that I didn't know tapas was a thing until recently -_-

Chapter 2 Part 4 will be coming out sometime next year (hopefully early around February or so), so be on the look out of that when that time comes! But thats not what Im here to talk about. As of the 24th of December, I will no longer be posting to twitter. Both of my accounts have been deleted and I will not be returning the platform ever again. It might not be a surprise to some of you since Ive mostly stopped using my twitter account as of last year but a recent change compelled me to nuke my account there entirely. Twitter now allows users to edit images you post via generative ai. No, this is not something you can turn off, nor is it something you can moderate. This is no surprise to me, given that twitter is run by ai obsessed tech bros who at best, dont understand artist, or at worse hate our guts. They dont understand why someone would put into the time and effort into getting good at drawing or writing, and only see art as a product for consumption that should be streamlined to become more efficient. But its not that. Art is one of those things that forces you to think critically about something and grow as a person which is not something these tech companies want. I could go on for more but I think you get the point. I genuinely hate AI and I dont want to inadvertently feed the slop machine which is why I deleted my twitter. I'll still be using other platforms like Instagram but Im done with the bluebird app....or I guess the X app (what a stupid name)
I know episode releases have been incredibly spotty over the last year or so, but I promise Im doing my best to make up for lost time! Please don't unsubscribe!!!!
I dont know when Part 4 will be out. But I hope that it wont be over a year from now
One of the pages is not complete, but it is literally the last page of the episode and completing that specific one was taking FOREVER with school always on my ass so I kind of dont care at this point q~q I'll finish it at a later date and update the episode when I do
I'm not going to be continuing the series. At least in its current state. I'll be rebooting the novel in the near future but for the time being, I'm going to be releasing the remaining chapters I have written for it. I dont know if there any hardcore 'Golden Flash/Crescent Blue G' fans out there who might care about this news, but I just wanted to bring it up

As you guys know, drawing comics takes a lot of time, especially for me. I spend months working on the same couple of pages and despite doing this for 5 plus years, I haven’t gotten any faster than when I started out, and it bothers me. Knowing chapters that take only a couple of days to write take months or even years to fully draw out, and leaving you guys hanging for such a long time until I can deliver a few pages for you all. And recently, things have gotten worse because of art school. Community College was already a lot to deal with but in hindsight, I was not as busy with it when compared to the art school I’ve been going to as of 2024. During my first year alone, I barley got any work done thanks to homework and me not having time for myself like I used to. At this rate, it’ll take me an average of 5 years to finish a single fucking chapter and I want to change that. So, Im deciding to cut out one of the largest contributing factors as to why it takes so long to complete pages: inking. I spend more time inking pages than I do sketching them due to the fact that I cant help but make my sketches super detailed and clean. It’s a good trait to have, don’t get me wrong, but it makes inking take the longest….and makes it unenjoyable. I’ll admit I procrastinate a lot when inking just because of how long and monotonous it is. I wish I could hire an inker but Im a 22 year old college student living his parents. I don’t have the money needed to pay someone to ink my work. This, combined with the fact that I think my drawings look readable without ink, Im deciding to not ink any comic pages going forward with the upcoming episode being the last fully inked comic episode with maybe the exception of Chapter 2 Part 5, which will be in color as well. I hope you guys can understand where Im coming from and thank you for taking the time to read this!
