Harvasha and i walked back downstairs to eat dinner, and once we finished harvasha and i when upstairs, and into my room.
"so, what did you want to do?" she asked me, but i haven't even thought this thing thought. to be honest i didn't even think she'd come over; much less stay until after dinner.
"what did you want to do?" all i could think of was finding the key to open that door. harvasha leans over to me, and every thought i had just dropped out of my mind. i completely forgot what i was even thinking about.
"We should go on an adventure. it's a game the kids around here play; it's called the peek."
"the- peek?" highly confused at the game's name i didn't notice harvasha had sat by my side on the bed. sitting shoulder to shoulder i look over to see her eyes glowing from the light that bounced in from the window.
" so, you in?",
"wait, what is this game, and what are the rules?" harvasha stands up and begins to think of a way to explain it.
"well, it's like hind and goes seek, but you aren't finding people. you have an objective by one person and you can't stop playing until that one thing is found, and it can't be something too hard or too easy, and it has to be something that can be built off of-"
"built off of?"
" yes, for example. you want to find a key or something-" it like she read my mind, " -once we find the key i have to pick something that you might find in that room or box or whatever."
"Okay, so it's like a treasure hunt?"
"yeah! so you down?" harvasha used a mans' only weakness to get me to say yes; pure beauty, and puppy dog eyes.
" Yeah, sounds like fun." she was filled with joy as she clapped her hands to begin the game.
"Okay, what do you want to find first?" somehow i felt like she already knew what i wanted to find.
"Um, how 'bout a key, to that door down the hall."
" a key? that should be easy." she skipped out of the room and made her way downstairs. i followed after her down as she stopped at the bottom.
harvasha turned to me and asked," so, tell me if you were a key to a room where would you be?" I shrugged. i mean how should i know where any of my grandma's things are. "come on think. i know you can." just then it was like i had a flash of memory. i saw i power box in the basement with three keys hanging on the door of it.
"I think it's in the basement." harvasha smiled
"I knew could do it, so do you think old grand here would let us go down there? or do we have to go full stealth mode?"
"stealth mode of course." harvasha seemed to like the idea of going full stealth, and i have o agree with her. having to hind from someone or something it much more fun. we waited a few seconds to see if grandma was going to come out of the doorway of the kitchen which was where to basement door resided.
"How are we gonna get over there without her seeing us?" i was concerned for my well-being. i know it's just a game, but grandma kind of scares me sometimes.
"come on man, i know what to do." she put up her and as of she was performing magic or doing some kind of army gestures to signal me. grandma walks out of the kitchen and into the living room and sat down on the sofa next to the basement door.
"Oh she's good." harvasha was determined, but i was ready to just give up and go back to my room.
"come on harvasha, let's just-"
"no! look around her neck." she pointed to my grandma's necklaces with the key hanging from it, " see we don't even need to go to the basement. we just have to form around her neck." i know she's a new friend, and i want to impress her, but this feels light stealing. i never realized just what we had gotten ourselves into until it was too late.
