Rindou groaned heavily. He was sitting back in the expensive inn inside Pine Village his funds had paid for, of course they were less than happy when they heard they had to stay longer for the prince to convince his fiancee to marry him. He sighed again, this time in even more frustration.
“Something wrong?” asked one of his bodyguards.
“Kura sure is complicated.” Rindou stated, hardly hearing the guard’s question. “Just what the heck is this Treasure he’s talking about?!”
“You mean the Treasure of legend?”
Rindou looked to the guard. “Hmm? Legend? What legend? How come nobody told me about this?”
The guard laughed, “It’s not usually needed for the royal family to have such knowledge. You see, aside from the science and magic regions on the continent there is also a better known southern region ruled by the sprites.”
“What about it?”
“The area there is pretty large. It’s best known as the religion region.” The guard answered in a lecturing tone. “It used to cover the entire world at one point, however as areas continued to advance groups of people began to stop believing in the religion form of our past and started to believe within either magic or science.”
“OK....”
“The science is far from believing the religion, but the magic region is much more closely to believing and understanding the religion.” He continued. “It’s really common knowledge among the commoners and lower classes of people.”
“So, what’s the Treasure?”
“It’s said to be a beautiful gem, shaded like the forests of our land.” the guard answered.
“What the?” Rindou blinked, “A gem like that exists? Where is it?”
“Only one person has it every hundred years.” the guard nodded, “Only those in the churches knows who have it until the Day of Time arrives.”
“Day of...Time?”
“That’s right,” answered Kura as he came in. He had calmed down from his temper outbreak that happened earlier.
“Kura!” Rindou jumped up, all happy and hyper.
“I didn’t expect you to actually take so much interest in it...” Kura answered with a smile.
