Kura took off his jacket and handed it to Rindou as he walked up onto the dais. "I call thy forth, Amphitra!"
Ba'Von looked around as another howling whistle sounded and bright flash lit up before a white figure floated above Kura. Rindou gawked a bit, still finding this amazing.
"You have done well in coming this far." Amphitra nodded, her body's details becoming visible slowly. "You are prepared for your judgement, yes?"
Kura nodded but Rindou ran up onto the dais, "Amphitra! You can't take him! You have to make everything right and release Azrael from his slumber!"
Amphitra became enraged and knocked Rindou down. "You will be silent!!" Ba'Von ran over to Rindou, helping him to sit up. "Kura has accepted his fate to be the vessel!"
"Are you okay, Rindou?" Ba'Von asked.
Rindou sat up fully, "Yeah... Amphitra, you can't just take someone to be Azrael's host! Don't you feel guilty for taking someone's life to save your own?!"
"My power is half of the world's power!" Amphitra shouted. "I control death and I can give you yours if you desire it so much!" Rindou didn't reply. Amphitra looked down to Kura. "Now, accept your judgement." She took a deep breath and exhaled. As she did, chains came up and bound Kura to where he was standing.
"H-Hey!" Kura yelped in surprise.
"This is the end of your life," Amphitra stated. "From the northern sun to the southern moon, from the western sea to the eastern desert-- I call forth your soul. Come and claim your vessel, the Hero: Azrael!"
A shimmering white light, like a star, came flying up from the depths of the ocean, circled around the tower and flew toward Rindou and Ba'Von. It backed up, feeling that the ruby wasn't there and flew to Kura. A flash revealed a young man that looked identical to Kura but for the scar stood hovering in front of him.
Kura's eyes went wide. "Az...Azrael?"
"That's me!" the man nodded, "Sorry it has to be like this!" A tear fell from his eye before he returned to a white ball of light and flew into the ruby.
Rindou shouted, "No!! KURA!!!" He stood up and ran to the dais.
A blinding forcefield knocked Rindou back to Ba'Von as Kura's head reared back in a silent scream of pain. His body shook a bit as the ruby fell from his stomach, revealing his belly button it had been covering. Kura's body fell to the floor as the chains disappeared with the light.
Amphitra nodded, "Take you footing, Azrael."
Rindou stood up and ran up to the body. "Ku-Kura...?"
Kura shook his head, looking up to Rindou. The scar that had been on his left eye was gone. "Nope.. Sorry. I'm Azrael."
Rindou blinked, "Then were's Kura?" He looked to the ruby as it flew up to Amphitra's hands.
"He's here. He'll be taken to the gods to receive his judgement and will be locked forever into a dark solace abyss." the goddess explained.
Rindou ran at her, "No! Give him back! Give him back!" He lunged at her as she flew up higher. "GIVE HIM BACK!!!"
"Take good heed, Azrael," the goddess explained. "Go to the other tower to renew your oath."
Azrael stood up and nodded, "Yes!"
Rindou tried to jump and reach Amphitra as she vanished with the stone.
Far away, in another world, a young man with dark hair sat up from his sleep. "Kura!"
The young man sleeping next to him stirred and looked up. "Something wrong, Vlalan?"
He shook his head and kissed the other's green hair. "There's something I have to take care of. I'll be back soon, kay?"
"Where are you going?"
"Another world."
He sat up and grabbed Vlalan's wrist. "You aren't leaving me behind again!"
Vlalan hugged his love. "Elle, please. It's important to me. I have to help my cousin. It'll be too dangerous if I take you along."
Elle pouted, "Fine... I'll stay. But you have to come back!"
"I will," Vlalan nodded and kissed Elle's on the lips before running out.
"You had better," Elle stated with a whine.
Vlalan hurried to a transporter and made his way quickly up the steps of the tower. "Kura's gonna kill me!"
Kura was banging on the inside of the ruby, "Vlalan! I hate you! I'm gonna murder you if I ever get out of this!!"
Ba'Von was trying to stop Rindou from strangling Azrael. "Stop! You can't kill him!"
"Why not?! It's his fault Kura's gone now!"
"You kill me and you'll have killed any chance to bring back Kura!" Azrael explained, hiding behind Ba'Von.
"That isn't stopping me from strangling you!" Rindou shouted, pushing Ba'Von away and tackled Azrael with his hands at his throat.
"Wait! Stop! This is Kura's body!!" Azrael choked, trying to shove Rindou off.
"What's going on here?" Vlalan gasped for breath as he stepped up onto the top floor. "Where's Kura?"
"Being judged I think," Ba'Von answered looking to the new comer.
Vlalan saw someone trying to kill Azrael and ran over pulling Rindou off. "Whoa whoa whoa! Don't hurt him! You hurt that body then when Kura comes back he'll be in pain!"
"I don't---" Rindou blinked, looking to the one holding him hostage. "Who the hell are you?"
"Vlalan Star," Vlalan answered. "It was my fault Kura got the stone."
"Then I'll kill you!"
Vlalan held Rindou's head arm's length away, "Hey hold on there, buddy! You won't be killing anyone!"
"Why not?!"
Ba'Von walked over and helped up Azrael. "You kill off Azrael and you'll have killed Kura's body, meaning he won't be able to come back. No body, you get it? That's why Azrael had to go into his body- it matched perfectly."
"And why not you?!" Rindou shouted, trying to punch Vlalan.
Vlalan caught the fist, "I fulfilled a duty that excused me by the gods. I didn't honestly think Kura'd be the one to get the stone..."
Rindou backed away from Vlalan, "Yeah well I'm going up to heaven and getting him back!"
"Hold on there hotshot," Azrael waved his arms. "When I come back so does the villian who killed me?"
"Who's that?" the three looked to Azrael asking together.
"General Ott," Azrael nodded.
"The creepy guy who served first under your brother?" Ba'Von asked.
Azrael nodded, looking to Ba'Von. "Yup. He gave me the deadly blow while my brother had been knocked down from my strike to him."
"That's why he was bleeding when I found him.." Ba'Von whispered.
"So what happened to the old coot?" Vlalan asked.
"He must've been trapped in limbo just like me, by the gods." Azrael shrugged. "We'll know soon."
"How?" Rindou asked, turning to him.
"He was a pyro and master swordsman," Azrael answered. "He'll slice the victims of a village and burn it. Where was he burried?"
Vlalan scratched his head, "The northern mountains I think..?"
Rindou shook his head, "Then let's go there and cut his corpse up!"
Azrael shook his head, "Can't. I have to renew my oath with Amphitra first."
"I'll show you 'oath'!" Rindou threatenly walked at Azrael.
Vlalan and Ba'Von stepped between them. "Wait!" Vlalan shouted. "We'll have to work together, okay? We'll vote. Who wants to go to the mountains first?"
Ba'Von, Vlalan and Rindou raised their arms.
"Okay," Azrael whined. "It is on the way anyways..."
"That's good! So, let's go!" Ba'Von nodded and started down the stairs. Azrael followed her, then Vlalan and then Rindou. Vlalan made sure to be between Azrael and Rindou just incase the crazy kid wanted to take a stab at the hero again.
"Little parasite.." Rindou cursed.
