The woman tries to reply: "Look, we already discussed this. We would have told you before, if only you-" but Arthur Hawthorne doesn't want to hear any of what she has to say. "I don't care for your excuses. You'll have to kill me before you can put your hands on him!" he says, angry.
A short pause.
"Couldn't expect a better answer" says the woman, as she pulls a knife out of her jacket.
