Red struggles over revealing the truth to unwavering Olah, as well as coping with knowing the fate of the other hens. Oh, and the conductor reveals his purpose.
(There's some history between these two, to be explored more later...after the contest...)
*Author's note: Thought I'd make it clear that I personally don't believe people of faith are delusional, even if they are highly optimistic such as Olah. I think having faith can keep one motivated in a time of trouble/crisis. We sometimes need more people like that in the world to look to, religious or not, and this part kinda reflects on that, despite the sadness of the situation. Kinda shares a theme with Friar Chicken, to be honest.*
Olah, a hen and faithful servant of The Mother Hen, is given a boarding pass and thrust onto a train towards a place she knows nothing about…except that she may be Raptured by her benevolent Providers -- human beings.
Unsure of its destination, Olah has no choice but to take the one and last train from Gainesville, GA to Tennessee, to her promised salvation. She joins Red, her new travel companion, among others as they travel down to the place of weeping and gnashing teeth, aka Gnashville, Tennessee while uncovering mysteries, conspiracy, love, faith, death, and acceptance.
The unknown is blowing its horn.
Please hand your ticket to the conductor as you board.
