“What do you mean we can’t come in? We’re his doctors!” Igor protested to Mr. Falchion as he and Prometheus stood in front of the estate.

“Master Frankenstein says that William will not require your services anymore, so you may not enter, doctors.” Mr. Falchion firmly replied while raising his hand.

“But what about our payment at least? The check got lost, Mr. Falchion.” Prometheus added.

Mr. Falchion tilted his head for a moment “We will mail a new check to you. Now, go and have a nice day.”

“Have a nice day?! Why you-” Igor was stopped by Prometheus putting his hand on his shoulder.

“Igor, let’s just go.” Prometheus advised his friend calmly.

The hunchback shot a glare at Falchion before turning and walking back into the coach with the creature. Once inside the coach, Mr. Falchion turned his back to them, which gave Igor the opportunity to stick his tongue out at him.

“Well, what now?” Igor sighed as he slumped into his seat.

“We can still call William on the telephone.” Prometheus smiled.

“Yeah!... But will they allow us to talk to him?” Igor raised his brow.

“They cannot forbid us from being professionals by asking our patient to visit us rather than handing him off to someone else.” Prometheus winked.

“I hope...” Igor did not feel hopeful.

Back at the clinic, Agatha was waiting for them anxiously at her desk with her arms crossed with her right foot tapping as Ghost sat on her desk also looking uneasy.

“Agatha, what’s-” Prometheus began.

“The hospital wants you to come over to examine Mr. Harold Hahn since you’re the only doctor to have ever encountered a patient with a condition like his, Prometheus. Now.” she blurted.

He pursed his lips for a moment.

“Should we share what we’ve found out about the anti-lifeblood and hedonist’s stone in it to them?” Igor asked.

Prometheus thought for a moment but was interrupted by the ringing of the telephone.

Agatha did her best to compose herself before answering “Hello?... Yes... One moment please.” she then turned to the doctors “It’s Justine Moritz. She wants to talk to you Prometheus.”

Prometheus took the telephone “Justine?”

“Hello, Dr. Prometheus? I need to see you in person. It’s important.” Justine whispered anxiously over the telephone.

“Did something happen?” his expression became alarmed.

“I-It’s about William. I can’t tell you like this. I must see you in person. Please.” she insisted.

“Yes, yes. Of course. You can come to the clinic anytime. Igor and my receptionist Agatha will be here.” he calmly replied.

“I’ll be there tonight at 9:00.” Justine whispered when another voice could be heard calling for her “I must go now.”

With that, she hung up the telephone leaving Prometheus feeling bewildered.

“What happened? Is Justine in some kind of trouble?” Igor asked with concern.

“She wants to talk in person at our clinic tonight at 9:00 about William. I think HE’s in trouble.” Prometheus explained.

“Oh no! That poor boy!” Agatha gasped.

Prometheus checked his pocket watch “It’s three hours to 9:00. Igor, Agatha, you two will have to meet Ms. Moritz without me because I might be at the hospital for some time. As for your question, Igor... I will not share our findings yet. I need to see if the hospital can be trusted or if they’re under Frankenstein’s thumb too.”

“Be careful, Prometheus. Mr. Hahn will be dangerous.” Agatha warned.

“I know. Ghost, stay here with Agatha and Igor.” Prometheus said as he petted the owl before heading out.

“I’ll be back, Agatha.” Igor said as he began to head out.

“Where are YOU going?” Agatha put her hands on her hips.

“To make myself decent. I can’t present myself before a lady like this.” he replied and left.

Agatha rolled her eyes humming as Ghost did the same while hooting.

Later that day, Prometheus arrived at the hospital and was immediately guided by a nervous nurse who led him down the hallway. The entire time they walked, the sound of Harold roaring and snarling echoed throughout the building making it clear that he had reached the third transformation.

“M-Mr. Hahn is in there.” the nurse said pointing to the door as she was too afraid to so much as touch it.

“Thank you. I can take it from here.” Prometheus said as he opened the door and the nurse left hurriedly.

Inside the hospital room, Harold was in bed almost completely cocooned in chains as he struggled and roared to break free. Like Lord Stein who reached stage three of the mutation, Harold’s skin was green, his eyes were bulging and green, his veins glowed green, his hair was black and stood on end, his teeth were now long fangs, and his nails were sharp claws. The doctors along with four policemen looked over the man who barely could be called a man with shocked and confused expressions.

“Oh, Dr. Prometheus. You’re here. I’m Dr. Weber and this Dr. Fisher and Dr. Kohler. You’ve met Mr. Hahn... though not like this.” Dr. Weber shuddered.

“When did he change?” Prometheus asked as he took a good look at him.

“Only three hours ago. You should also know that since he has come here, all he has done is scream and display aggression. He won’t drink water or sleep. Yet, not once did he stop to rest unless he was heavily sedated. Now... even sedatives don’t work.” Dr. Weber explained while rubbing his hands.

“We tried examining him and even getting a sample of his blood, but when we tried...” Dr. Kohler showed him the syringe with the melted needling “Whatever is in him, all we can deduce is that it is definitely in his blood.”

“We tried getting a hair and nail sample as an alternative, but as soon as clipping as cut, they disintegrate.” Dr. Fisher added.

Prometheus stroked his beard.

Igor mentioned that when the anti-lifeblood gets mixed with water, it turns acidic. Perhaps it has the same reaction to blood. I wouldn’t be surprised if Frankenstein knew that to make sure no clues leading back to would ever be left behind.

“Dr. Prometheus, you are the only known doctor to have dealt with a patient like this. What can you tell us and what should we do?” Dr. Weber asked with desperation in his tone.

Prometheus looked up “I never got a chance to give a proper examination either. In fact, I must confess that things ended very badly when he reached this phase and I’m not even sure if anything can be done.”

“Well, there’s four of this time, so we should be able to... huh? What are those fumes?” Dr. Weber began as he noticed some strange fumes emitting from Harold’s chains.

As Harold continued to flail and emit more strange smoke from his body, Prometheus then noticed some smoke coming from the bed sheets under the patient. As the creature doctor observed this, he noticed that a liquid of some kind was secreting from his body onto the sheets through the open spaces between the chains.

“He’s bleeding... HE’S BLEEDING AND HIS BLOOD IS BURNING THROUGH THE CHAINS!!” Prometheus hollered as he pushed the other doctors away.

“Get out and lock the door!” a guard commanded, and all four doctors complied.

Prometheus peered through the door window to see some policemen get their weapons ready while others had new chains in hand. As predicted, Harold’s blood burnt through the chains, and he was finally able to break free. He stood up roaring and revealed that all the struggling caused the chains to scrape and blister his body and arms which lead to him drawing blood.

“Get down!” a guard commanded while pointing his gun, but Harold only responded by lunging at him.

The guard fired twice into his attacker’s torso, but it did nothing. Once Harold was on him, he began eating him alive, starting with his head.

“SHOOT HIM!!” the head guard ordered.

The sound of gunshots filled the room, but the bullets did not faze Harold as they went into his body. Prometheus observed that none of the shots would go through him completely and some even ricocheted off when grazing him indicating that his muscle tissue had become thick and tough. Harold then moved onto the next guard crunching down on his throat killing him instantly. When another guard tried to pull Harold off, he responded by ripping out his throat killing him too. The remaining policeman trembled paralyzed with fear.

Prometheus had seen enough, so opened the door, then ran between the guard and Harold “GET OUT!!” the guard dashed through the open door.

Prometheus held the now long-gone Harold back by the arms while trying not to get his face chomped off, but he was not impervious to Harold’s acidic blood either. He felt like he was holding red hot barbed wire as the blood seared into his hands, but he was determined. However, the poor doctor was finding it harder and harder to hold his ground. He was getting pushed back and he could feel Harold’s breath on his face. Prometheus clenched his eyes shut trying to regain the upper hand when he suddenly heard a bang. The doctor opened his eyes and saw his adversary twitch as blood trickled from the side of his head. Prometheus let go of Harold who fell to ground dead and his body disintegrated. Dr. Fisher had taken one of the guns and fired saving him. The creature doctor looked at his injured hands to face the damage, but... the hands he was looking at were not his own and appeared to be covered in blood from the outside. He gasped and nearly fell backwards.

“Come! Your hands need to be treated!” Dr. Fisher said as the other two doctors joined them.

Prometheus blinked, and his hands once again looked like his own though in bad shape. The skin of his palms, fingers and thumbs had been singed off exposing the flesh.

Dr. Prometheus is an amnesiac who's earliest memory only dates back three years. He has the appearance of a ragdoll, the strength of twenty men, a heart of gold and extensive medical and surgical knowledge which he uses to help the sick and injured regardless of social standing. One day, Prof. Victor Frankenstein, the man who is most likely responsible for Prometheus' mental and physical, comes into town to share his wonder treatment with anyone rich enough to afford it, but along with it, strange and terrifying things start happening which Prometheus will not stand for. In doing so, he slowly remembers his dark past and the darker truth about himself...
