“So... Frankenstein was always cruel and disturbed.” Prometheus bitterly commented after being brought up to speed.

“He forced his SISTER to marry him! Alright, she’s his adoptive sister, but still... yuck! And right while she was still in mourning for her late fiancé? What a pig!” Igor shuddered.

“And he was always abusive to William. Is there anything else we should know, Ms. Moritz?” Prometheus asked as they all sat in the coach together that morning.

“N-No. That’s all. Well, I must go in and quit properly. I don’t even want to look at the Baron knowing what kind of villain he is now. I’m truly sorry about the clinic. I hope they find the maniacs who did it, doctors.” Justine replied bowing slightly.

Igor shuffled his foot “Uh... Justine, be careful. Frankenstein is... he IS dangerous as you’ve noticed.”

“Oh, he doesn’t scare me, Igor, but thank you for caring. Goodbye and thank you again for hearing me out and saving me, Dr. Prometheus.” Justine said before going out.

“If he gives you trouble, let me know!” Igor called out.

At the gates of the estate, Falchion glared at Prometheus and Igor bitterly as he allowed Justine to come in.

“He’s as friendly as ever.” Igor commented.

“Wait! Dr. Prometheus!” Elizabeth called out running while running “Falchion, open the gate. I need to give this to the doctors.”

“The master did not permit-” he began.

“For goodness' sake, Falchion, let me pay the doctors for their services to William.” Elizabeth interrupted looking annoyed before turning to look at Prometheus “I heard you lost the check. I wanted to give you a new on in person.”

“It’s alright. Just give it to me through the bars, Baroness.” Prometheus said as he approached the bars.

“Here. Make absolutely sure you don’t lose it this time please, Dr. Prometheus.” Elizabeth instructed as she put her dainty hand through the bars to hand over the envelope “I’m also sorry about the fire. I read the paper this morning.”

Prometheus held took the envelope and leaned forward to whisper “I’m sorry about your situation. Justine told me everything.”

Elizabeth said nothing and darted her eyes away in shame.

“I want to help both of you. I... I care about you. You’re in danger as long as you’re near him.” Prometheus took her hand.

This surprised her for a moment, and she looked at him before whispering back “Caring about me will put you in more danger that I’ll ever be in.”

With that, she turned around to go back to the estate with Justine. Prometheus continued to look at her as she walked away noticing how she would look back at him while also looking at her hand. A flashback came to mind of a past version of her smiling while looking back at him.

“Prom?” Igor caught his attention.

“Coming.” Prometheus sheepishly replied as he returned to the coach.

Once inside and far enough away, Igor broke the silence again “Do you think we should have told Justine about how Frankenstein’s body modifications really work?”

“No. Ignorance will keep her safe. You see what Elizabeth’s and William’s situations are like for knowing the truth.” Prometheus pointed out while looking sad.

“Maybe you’re right... say, that’s a pretty thick envelope for a check.” Igor suddenly noticed.

Prometheus took note of this too and opened it carefully revealing that it did not contain a check at all “It’s the lost notebook! From the old burnt down lab! But how did... A letter?”

Dear Dr. Prometheus

There are two last secrets you don’t know about my husband. My fiancé didn’t die in an accident. Victor killed him. He told me so to my face on our wedding night. The other secret is that he knows that you found out the truth behind his twisted body modification treatments which is why he tried to burn you all to death. I am telling you this because Victor is clearly the type to kill anyone to get what he wants or keep what he has. He has been killing this whole time for years for his own personal gain. While I don’t completely understand the science behind his sick methods, I do understand that my husband only has two months left to live as he is a patient of his own treatments. This notebook is the key to saving him, but I am giving it to you so that his evil can finally come to a stop and use the notes to find a way to save his victims if there is one. It is also at the very least evidence against my husband’s crimes that will lead to an investigation.

Stay safe,

Elizabeth Lavenza

Prometheus and Igor looked at each other with open mouths.

“I... I don’t believe it....” Prometheus muttered as he opened it and flipped through it.

“Wow... Elizabeth sure is brave to do this. Is there any saving the victims though?” Igor asked.

“I-I don’t know, but... if we are being stalked and watched, we need to warn Agatha and Albert! Driver!” Prometheus suddenly realized and darted forward to their driver.

Meanwhile, Albert was with Agatha at his house tending to her with Ghost’s help. He poured her a cup of tea as Ghost pushed a plate of cookies towards her.

“Oh, come now. It’s just a small burn on my hand.” Agatha chuckled.

“You’re my daughter. It’s my duty to tend to you when you’re injured, my dear.” Albert retorted before kissing her head.

“More importantly, I’m glad we insured the clinic though now, where are the patients going to be treated?” Agatha asked out loud as she petted Ghost.

“Prometheus said he will do house calls for now. More importantly than that... it seems Frankenstein is a more disturbed individual than my old friend described... to lust after his own adoptive sister...” Albert shook his head.

There was a knock at the door which made Ghost nervous.

Albert opened it “Hello?”

“Albert?” it was Mr. Eldrich looking ashamed.

“Mr. Eldrich? What brings you here?” the old man asked recognizing his voice instantly.

“I went to Dr. Prometheus’ house first, but he wasn’t there. I came here thinking he might be with you or if you can tell me where I went.” Mr. Eldrich nervously.

“Why? Is your wife sick or hurt? Or are you-” Albert had concerns.

“No, no. I... I wanted to apologize to him. When I found out about the fire, I realized what an ass I’ve been.” Mr. Eldrich stated.

Albert smiled behind his moustache and beard “You can do that right now. He’s behind you. I know those footsteps anywhere.”

Mr. Eldrich turned around quickly, and surely enough Prometheus was there looking surprised “Mr. Eldrich.”

“Dr. Prometheus, I... I am so sorry! You have always been so kind to my family and tried to save Mark, but I spoke and acted so cruelly to you!” Mr. Eldrich bowed his head down.

Prometheus looked sad “You were heartbroken over losing your son and not in your right mind, Mr. Eldrich. I also lied to you, so it’s alright.”

“No, it’s not alright. You’re a doctor. You have an oath you swore to. I shouldn’t have expected you to break it. Not even for me. I am so very sorry. I’ve brought shame to Mark’s memory.” he went on.

Prometheus took in his words with a new resolve “No, you didn’t. Mark loved you and never held your mistakes against you. Please, let go of your guilt, Mr. Eldrich.”

“Thank you, Dr. Prometheus.” Mr. Eldrich left looking sad, but a little more at peace for once.

“Prom?” Igor noticed the look in Prometheus’ eyes.

“Igor, do you mind bringing Albert and Agatha up to speed? I need to pick up some things from my home for a moment.” Prometheus instructed.

“But you just got here.” Agatha pointed out.

“I’ll be right back. I need to pick up some things from my personal lab to bring back here. It’s about we found a cure for Frankenstein’s “medicine”, Agatha.” Prometheus replied.

Prometheus then rushed off leaving Igor with the letter and notebook. Ghost flew to her companion though and perched onto his back.

I really hope Frankenstein doesn't find out what Elizabeth did and punish her...

Dr. Prometheus is an amnesiac who's earliest memory only dates back three years. He has the appearance of a ragdoll, the strength of twenty men, a heart of gold and extensive medical and surgical knowledge which he uses to help the sick and injured regardless of social standing. One day, Prof. Victor Frankenstein, the man who is most likely responsible for Prometheus' mental and physical, comes into town to share his wonder treatment with anyone rich enough to afford it, but along with it, strange and terrifying things start happening which Prometheus will not stand for. In doing so, he slowly remembers his dark past and the darker truth about himself...
