You might be wondering, "where did Kevin go?!"... Well I'm writing to let you know that I have not yet died. I'm still alive and well and dealing with life one day at a time.
New Ascent episodes are somewhere in the back of my mind and I'm working on yanking them out at some point. So they will come, but please be patient, and in the meantime, there are a plethora of other wonderful comics to read on Tapas! Please enjoy your time with those! :)

The one piece of information I retained from your newsletter is that everyone should purchase Clip Studio Paint x)
I can understand the struggle between exploring new styles of art and continuing current projects. I think balancing the two is a valid choice. Good luck on all your artistic endeavors =)

Hi there! I'm looking to get a new tablet or cintiq so i'm asking around to see what people are using to create their art. i see you use a surface pro, how do you like it? would you recommend getting one? thanks!
Oops sorry for the late reply. You probably already made your decision, but if you haven't, here are my thoughts!..
I love my Surface Pro 4. It's Photoshop on the go. I wasn't able to work on my comic a lot at home so this was perfect for me. If you have the means of buying a Cintiq and you're at home a lot, that's the better option because more programs support the Cintiq, and the pen is marginally better. If you know anyone with a Surface, I would spend a few hours testing it out to see if it's too your liking. I was able to adapt to some of the inconsistencies, others may not be able to. Also note that Photoshop works excellent with it, most other programs are just so-so with it (ie. Animate, Illustrator). Haven't tried other painting programs. Do know that you WILL need to buy a separate keyboard to fully utilize it, and a mouse is super handy too.

Hey thanks for the reply! I did get a cintiq since I do most of my stuff at home. it's on its way! Thank you for the advice, it makes me feel like I made the right choice for me! I love your comic btw!!
