Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table at the Great Philadelphia Comic Con this past weekend! It was my first time doing that show, and I had a lot of fun! I'll also be doing a Free Comic Book Day event at my local comic shop (Plymouth Meeting Mall) this weekend. Unfortunately having back-to-back events means that I won't have time to put together a page this week, so look for the next update on Thursday, May 10th. See you guys then! :)
ive only just discovered third shift society and i binge-read the whole thing, and i absolutely love it!! its by far one of my fave comic series <3 <3
Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend (holiday or otherwise). I'm sure you've noticed that there was no page this past Thursday. What's up with that, right? Well, the short answer is, it took too damn long, and that's a problem.
Now I'm not trying to be glib; it actually IS a problem, and has been for some time. I spend WAY too long on each page, and tackling these complex scenes has really made it apparent that I need to find a way to work smarter, not harder.
So what does that mean for you guys? Well, hopefully not much. You might see a little experimentation here and there, but I'm determined to make sure the quality of the pages doesn't slip. If all goes well, it'll also mean fewer late/missed pages. Honestly I hate doing that to you guys, and I'm so grateful you stick with me. The truth is, even 80+ pages in, I still feel like I've got so much to learn!
Anyway, the next update will be this Thursday. In the meantime, if any of my fellow artists have workflow tips they'd like to share, I'm all ears. ;)

Hi guys! I've got a brief announcement. I'm working on another small project (which I hope to be able to share with you all soon) with a deadline that's coming up fast. That means I'll be pouring a lot of time into it the next few weeks, so Third Shift Society updates will likely be a little spotty this month. Sorry for the inconvenience, and I hope you can be patient with me. In the meantime, here's a little peek at the project in question. :)

Can I invite you to please check out my comic Rune Symbol if you have the time. Thank you

Sorry guys, but it looks like there won't be a page this week. I got sick AGAIN, so I figure that's my body's way of telling me to slow down a bit. I'm going to rest and hopefully be back on track next week. Hope you're all doing well and enjoying the holiday season. :)
