hey thanks bud! Meh. I don't mind being a hipster comic(not the most underground tho). I've got 391 people backing me. But even if there was only one, that'd be enough.
I'm so sorry i didn't subscribed so fast. Just after you wrote you hit more likes than you subscriber count has it hit me like a train :o
Keep going on your good work and believe in yourself.
Hard to decide for me because i didn't see your site before and how much readers you got there. But i think you could be right. On Tapastic you will probably get more readers, more feedback and support. I'm not a creator so i can't really tell pro and cons. On the other hand, i often read how important it is for the creator to see, what the community thinks about their work :D
So why take all the afford into renew a website where you are required to pay for and make most of the work to keep it up to date, if you get it here for free (and getting paid through the supporter Program =(^_^)= )
Another pro is the push notification for the Tapastic app and the notification on the website, me and other readers won't miss any drawing / comic.
Don't know if it works but isn't it possible to make a backup of your website and renew it later when you feel like it?
Maybe i could help a bit with your decision <3
If you can find any misspelling and grammatical errors please keep them. You will never know what they could be good for someday xD
Aaaaaand now i'm gonna eat something ._.
Ehhh, the website wasn't that impressive at all, just a basic ComicEasel template set-up xD However, I have been considering giving Tumblr a try, considering you can get pretty good results with it both aesthetically and in terms of viewership > w > So I might get something set up there when I get the chance, I dunno u o u
Tapastic has been great though. What I had only imagined for years didn't become reality until I started here, and now the goals I have set don't seem so unrealistic anymore u w u Especially with Time Gate, considering that thing has been in the process for years now > >
And I dunno, like I said I really have no idea how to set up websites or anything, it could be gone forever at this point for all I know u o u I used Wordpress for it though if that means anything xD"""
Hey :D
Sorry for my late answer. Got a lot of stuff to do. The cold winter time is always stressful as f*** at work.
Can't tell how tumblr is right platform for artists like you. I know it more for the desperate youth, depressing thoughts and stuff like this :/
Although i've seen some comics there. Maybe i'm too old for tumblr x_X
Deviantart could be a good opportunity (if you're not already signed in there xD ) Though i don't know either if it's good at all but i've seen a lot good art there.
I like the idea of Tapastic to support unknown artists. Even a 12 year old can upload comics / pictures / drawings of anything. I couldn't believe it to myself, that someone at this age can draw such fantastic storys.
I also like your characters and the story, so please please continue your work here xD
Skip the idea of renewing the website for a while and better stay with this awesome community <3
Who knows, maybe you will meet someone here who knows how to code and you can start it again :)
Well, the big reason why some artists are switching/staying with tumblr is because DeviantArt is in the pits right now. I've been there for about 5 years and I haven't seen it as bad as this. Basically the staff is just pulling updates that no one likes and turning the place into a Facebook fest of likes, over-encumbered thumbnails, etc. and not fixing the stuff that's needed to be fixed for years u o u
There are many comics that started on tumblr though and have quite the following. Sarah's Scribbles, which is here on Tapastic, started on Tumblr, and the famous Pusheen the Cat franchise that's growing every day started there as well :3
I can see why you follow the stigma of "a place for desperate artists" because yes, that's what it can be like. But by that logic, DeviantArt is "the place for 13 year old Sonic the Hedgehog fangirls". They both have their upsides and their downsides, it's just that DA is full of downsides right now and all the members are starting to migrate to Tumblr because it's just easier to share there without it being a popularity contest u o u
And yeah, that's what I've loved so far about Tapastic. So far, I've uploaded my comic to places like SmackJeeves, Facebook, Tumblr, DA, my OWN website, etc. with very minimal results but the moment I got on Tapastic it was only smooth sailing. It's got a great layout, a great community (I don't think I've run into one internet troll here > w >), very minimal problems except for the odd bug every once in a while, some great stories, and of course, great exposure, as long as you have something that's worth reading x33
I am not that long here on tapastic or even reading comics. I ended here because of Gamercat and found so much more comics / storys after a short time.
Maybe you should check out tumblr too :o What can go wrong ^^
1. have an idea
2. draw it
3. publish
4. ???
5. Profit $$$$
:DDD
What ever you're doing or no matter where you're going to publish your work please don't stop it :D
It was fun to write with you and to see the other side of an artist. I think it's not really easy to do what you love and to live from it (maybe the biggest goal for all artists here :) )
Maybe i repeat myself but your work is awesome and i love it :P
