Alex was a normal boy until he discovered that he was directly linked to the salvation or destruction of the universe. He was chosen by the Sagittarius to be one of the four elemental guardians of this age, the guardian of fire. An evil as old as the universe is resurrecting, and the only clue of what to do is a prophecy:

"When Astaroth awakens in the millennium of expansion, he will not prevail. Four warriors will emerge and fight for freedom and wisdom. From a powerless, knightless people they will come and, led by the protector of humanity, will defeat him."

Alex and the other guardians must travel the far reaches of the Milky Way to search for the four relics of the first guardians to defeat Astaroth once and for all. Will they be able to save the universe from this terrible being who is about to return?
