As Winslow’s new reputation leaves her questioning herself, her choices, and her faith, she has a lot to process within the culture around her. Will this help her see that there are more paths to joy than she was led to believe?

Many aspects of this story come from my own experiences while being raised within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There is a message at the beginning of the story to better explain that complicated and nuanced relationship. I also go into further detail on my Instagram for anyone that is interested.

This includes religious trauma; mild depictions of disordered eating, substance abuse, and mental illness; swearing; several tame references to/discussions of sex; mentions of a miscarriage, suicide, self-harm, child abuse, and death; occasional homophobia, sexism, bullying, and slut-shaming; a brief mention of a school shooting; discussion of racism, transphobia, death, sexual assault, and abortion; one scene with a non-consensual kiss; references to surgical complications, cancer, and illness; and references to an attempted drugging/rape.
