Tristan thrives whenever he can speak, whether it be on stage or in high-stake debates. Having worked his way up into Oxford, he has rapidly become one of the best speakers for the debating union whilst striving for nothing less than to become a renowned politician.
When the stakes of the debate rise high, and the argumentation flows he is in his element - but when silence falls, the arguments begin to turn against himself.
For Hibiki, words never flow. From a young age, he has been mute, and social interactions are always convoluted and difficult to navigate. No matter how intelligent he is, he finds himself stranded in isolation from the rest of the world as his well-to-do family keeps him sheltered.
So when he sees Tristan speak at his first-year introduction at Oxford, he can't help but find himself completely infatuated and knows that he must meet with him no matter what.
Yet the sheen of high society wears off quickly, only to reveal the cracks in their souls. Will the shards of their broken pasts leave them both hurting, or do they fit together better than any words could ever express?
