Description

Lurina never expects much from life. After being orphaned as a baby, she just feels lucky to have been taken in by a kind family and to now have a steady job (and room and board) as a scullery maid in King Augustus’ palace. But things take a turn when, at midnight on her eighteenth birthday, Lurina transforms into a floofy white cat!

After a harrowing first night as a feline, Lurina is discovered and brought somewhere she thought she’d never see: King Augustus’ private chambers. He adopts her on the spot and Lurina, though still disturbed to be a cat, allows herself to begin enjoying the high life. She also finds out that night that for one hour, from 11pm to midnight, she becomes human again. To maintain her lavish new life, she’ll have to hide her curse.

But hiding gets more difficult when Lurina overhears nefarious characters plotting to overthrow good King Gus. She runs to find the king, hoping to find a way to warn him, and in the shock of the moment, they both realize Lurina can speak. The former scullery maid and the young king strike a bargain: she can continue living with him if she agrees to be his (cute wittle) eyes and ears around the palace. The setup works perfectly—until one night, when Lurina doesn’t hide her human form in time...
