yes, there is, the inspiration for his design was utterly random but came from a plant-doll that I had when I was younger, it was a bit like this:

it's basically a doll with seeds in it's "scalp" and when you water it, his "hair" grows. instead, it's grass.
PNFG (without the flower) was a character I had for a while now. Recently he wanted to be cuter and more approachable, (because people were naturally scared of him), so he had a flower seed implanted into his head. and it grew!
