"Maiden Lotus - Diffusion Flame"

Diffusion flame is an outdated, dirty, soot-producing method of combustion that is reminiscent of the coal-furnaces powering the Art Deco Era, which is stylistically and historically a fascinating period of time where men believed in the power of machines and intellects in conquering both nature and fate.
But behind the Art Deco glamour were sprawling industrial estates (and sooty diffusion flames!) powering the top 1%. This piece intends to look from the perspective of those whose hands are sooty with coal, who stared from a rundown apartment over the river at lit-up downtown NYC: What thoughts must’ve crossed her mind, what hopes she harbored, and what solace did she clung onto. For, hopefully, by identifying with the solace of the 99%, you’ll find your own peace in modern times.

Despite the long stretches of inacitivities, I haven't quite fallen off the surface of the earth yet... rather I've been taking leave to traverse the surface of the earth on many wild trips that coincidentally turned up many parallels with "Project CX".
