In a scorned world called Tearvine, which has been nearly burned away 100 years ago, where all life on the surface had migrated to the rivered bottoms of crack-like canyons that had raptured from the earth. In a city of Halvala known as Gonthin's Wheel, a tiered city powered by a giant waterwheel nearly as tall as the canyon walls, Danger is brewing.

A powerful woodcutter helps an outcast sorcerer and finds an opportunity to right the wrongs of the city. Feeling protective of their endangered family and ready to prove themselves. Both the sorcerer and the lumberjack step forward to save the city, make some coin, and protect the new bonds they make along the journey. Together they also explore a new brewing connection between both of them.
