Hello there! I'm Ruby and I write my comic, Ivory Weald. Fantasy has always been my passion, so that's my focus in creating!
Thank you to each and every person who gives my comic a look. I deeply appreciate it!

If you want to check out other art I've done aside from my comic, feel free to take a look at my Twitter!

I just wanted to get some insight from readers since I'm starting to consider getting back into making comic pages by the end of this month (to hopefully start posting again by the end of April!):
Would you prefer that I update once a week with longer updates, or continue with my twice a week schedule?
And if once a week, do you prefer Tuesdays or Thursdays for updates?
Thanks for your input! <3

Do whatever works best for you! If the shorter updates once a week works better for you, then that's totally fine! :D

Personally I'd like once a week with longer updates. Can't wait! :D

Once a week is fine by me! Either day works out as well, Tuesday is a packed day with everyone updating but it also seems to be a good day to promote in general, while Thursday is a bit more chill but fewer people posting at once.

Whatever you feel the most comfortable with. As a reader, both work well.

I'm so happy to know you are coming back!! :D I miss your comic! :D Sorry I haven't been able to make the fan art, I'll get to make it during this time, I promise :) By the way, I think that whatever works better for you will be fine :) Once a week is fine for me as well :)

Just a little update on my forays into digital! I feel like it's... quite different from my traditional art, but this is where I am so far.
I'm going to give it some more time as I practice, but yeah~.

Friends... I face a dilemma here.

I'm thinking, and as much as I don't especially -like- the idea, I'm considering switching over to digital for my comic to preserve my sanity. I'm still going to continue to do promotional and personal art traditionally, but as for the comic itself, well.
The caveat, though, is that if I switch, I think I'm going to make an attempt to redraw... all existing pages, which means a much longer hiatus as I update all the previous episodes with new art to make the whole project cohesive.

I guess I just want to see if anyone will support that decision, considering that I'll need to keep doing this for the next... who knows how many years and, well, traditional might end up becoming too overwhelming once I have full-time employment.

Whichever one is best for you, especially with the issue of time! I wouldn't mind if you kept going with digital and took your time before redrawing the older pages, too; again, the method that you feel is best for you.

Oh, that must be rough, giving up on the way you like more. I've never really experienced it, having been doing digital since I was little, but it's clear you care about it. BUT! Whatever it takes to keep doing the thing we love right? Telling the story is what's really spurring you on in the end!

Traditional is very tough to do, especially for comics. I'd say go for it if that eases you. though you could keep the earlier pages as is for traditional? I'm not sure what your coloring style is like for digital though you could do them at a later time. Whichever works best of course :> I'll be sending good bird chi your way (/ ' v')/ *

You do what you have to do! Especially if it is that versus not doing the story at all. And take as long as a hiatus as you need! No matter what, I will be excited to read the story (and re-read it) once it is back! Wishing you all the best!

does that mean you will take down the traditional pages? Because they are so beautiful and unique and I would be sad to see them go... Maybe if you want to redraw everything anyways consider leaving the old version as it is and start a new series for the new version?

Hey everyone, long time no message! I just wanted to give a small update to break my silence, at least right now.
I'm not sure if Ivory Weald will come back at the beginning of March as intended. I won't go into details, but my life is still quite the mess, and I'm not sure I want to pressure myself back into making comic pages and possibly making things worse.
I... do want to try to get myself back into drawing, but I'd like to try to reach a place where I'm feeling alright before I start painting comic pages again.
I hope you all understand. ;;

I feel like I might get to the same situation eventually, albeit more because of work then health... it's a bummer definitely. At the very least, a couple months isn't actually that long in the grand scheme of things. I'll be ready to read Ivory Weald again when it comes out!

Hey! Remember that you have to take care of yourself first and if you can’t then that means you have to put some things aside for yourself! Don’t feel bad if it takes you longer to get back to your projects, ^^ we’ll be waiting

Hi guys!

Looking at the state of my life right now, I think Ivory Weald will need to take a break after Jan. 7th. I'm hoping that I can start posting again by the beginning of March--I'll try to start posting sooner, but I can't make any promises.
I don't believe I'll be able to do much over the next few months, and I haven't been able to do anything in the past 2 months, so my buffer is all but gone.
If I can do anything next month, I might try to rebuild a little buffer rather than simply posting things as I make them... to try to avoid needing to take a break again.

Also, because my life will be... very chaotic for a while (if not forever), when updates resume after my break, they might only be one page each day instead of two.

Thank you for understanding, and I'm sorry I can't do more!

Life and health always comes first...... unnnfortunately. It'd be nice if we could just power through every hard time, misstep or illness but, you know. Get better, don't rush, we'll stick around till you do. No worries.

I'm always happy to see new Ivory Weald pages, whenever they are ready!

And if you ever need guest art to buy some time, I'd jump at the chance to draw your colorful characters :D

Thank you for your understanding, everyone! It means a lot to me. ;;

Oh, some guest art stuff might be cool to fill the gaps in my hiatus! I'm not sure how I would go about that, though... What kind of guest art might be fun (anyone can answer this!)?
Maybe I could try to arrange something on the forums? Things are still very hectic right now, but it would be a welcome distraction from everything happening right now. ; 0;

That was a good inksgiving, thanks for you came by me and my crew, have you read the novel you have supported? There is only a Prologue and two episodes now, next episode comes out 28.November.
With you ink and ink from others, we unlocked a new series that will take you behind the world of The Catmen, and you can win ink each day in December.
I have just updated all pictures in the episodes of: The Catmen Sorceress, so it is same style to the pictures our new Artist @Azifri do. The picture here is the first picture she has made and it comes into episode 2.

THANKS FOR A HAPPY INKSGIVING
